Ceramic-polymer functional gradient biocomposite for joints endoprosthesis applications
Abstract

Preliminary results show that it is possible to obtain alumina/poly(ε- caprolactone) composite, which could fulfill requirements for the material used for manufacturing of elements of joint endoprosthesis. More detailed tests of physical, mechanical, microstructural and biological properties will be the subject of future research within the project.
