Electrochemical copper composite coatings with graphene as a dispersion phase
Abstract
The research on electrodeposition of composite copper coatings with graphene flakes was carried out. The deposition was conducted in typical acid sulphate solutions with organic additives. The processes were carried out with the use ofdirect and puhe currants. The incorporation of graphene flakes into the base coating took place during the application of pulse current. The microscopic and EDS examinations of the obtained Cu/graphene coatings were carried out, their hardness was measured, and also their tribological properties and electrical conductivity were evaluated. The deposited Cu/graphene composite coatings showed the increased hardness and greater resistance to wear when compared to the copper coatings and maintain their high electrical conductivity.
