Microstructure and mechanical properties of sintered iron
Abstract
<p>Hoganas Distaloy AB powder with graphite and Kenolube additions has been used to prepare specimens. The specimens were doubled pressed by different pressures and sintered. The differences in processing parameters resulted in differences in obtained porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties. Microstructure has been quantitatively described by image analysis. Mechanical parameters have been tested by hardness and tensile tests.</p>
