Imaging of the Internal Structure of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko from Radiotomography CONSERT Data (Rosetta Mission) through spectral techniques
Abstract
We investigate the inverse problem of imaging the internal structure of comet 67P/Churyumov- Gerasimenko from radiotomography CONSERT data (radiowave transmitted back and forth from the Rosetta orbiter to the Philae lander through the comet) by using an approach based on the discretization of the interior dielectric permittivity and of the shape of the comet, as well as the interior / exterior electric field, along suitable basis of spectral functions (Zernike and Hankel functions), in the frame of the Helmholtz equation.
