Microfabricated devices for supported artificial bilayer lipid membranes
Abstract
A microfabricated silicon device with an aperture machined through a suspended silicon nitride membrane for studying artificial bilayer lipid membranes (BLMs) is reported. The development of an alternative microfluidic system, fabricated by hot embossing and laser micromachining of polymer films, is also discussed
