Abstract
<p>A range of injection moulded samples were prepared of pigmented polypropylene random and block copolymers with 2% to 8% phthalocyanine blue pigment The samples were prepared using a range of mould cooling conditions. Although mechanical analysis showed much higher impact strengths for the copolymers, there was significant reduction in impact performance for pigmented copolymers. Differential Scanning Calorimetry analysis showed higher crystallinities for all samples prepared at the higher mould temperatures, plus the formation of secondary crystallization for polypropylene random copolymer at higher pigment loading.</p>
