Abstract
Inthispaperwepresentahardware/software platformforreal-timeimageprocessing.Westartwiththe creationofthehardwarepartbasedontheARMprocessor (PS)withvariousdrivers(PL)forreading,recordingand displayingimages.UsingtheSDKtool(Software DevelopmentKit),weaddsoftwarepartsfortherealization ofsomebasicimageprocessingalgorithms.Weusethe Xilinx-VIVADO2016 tool for the proposed system design and weusetherapiddevelopmentboard(Xilinx-ZedBoard)for practicalimplementations.Torealizetheprincipleof codesign,weaddhardwareIPs(RTLlevel)forthe implementationofthesameimageprocessing algorithms. To avoidthedetailsoftheHDLdesign,weuseself-generated implementationsgivenbythehigh-leveltoolnamedXSG (Xilinx-System-Generator).Varioussimulationsarecarried outfirstlyunderXSGforthefunctionalverificationofthe proposedacceleratorsbeforeintegratingthemintothePL partoftheproposedsystem.Atthislevel,asoftwarepartis alsodevelopedtoensurecoordinationbetweenthedifferent hardware parts.
