From SMAS to MSMS : Modeling and Control.
Abstract
Since more than ten years, Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) are studied in two laboratories at Besançon, France, resp. Applied Mechanics Laboratory and Automatic Control Laboratory, now all integrated in Femto-ST Institute. The collaboration between mechanics and automatic control formed a small research group who developed modelling of the dynamic behaviour of SMA, control laws based on these models and experiments in an actuation framework.
