FUEL-CELL TYPE OXIDATION OF SOOT ON YSZ
Abstract
This study reports the ability of a purely ionically conducting ceramic, Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ), to oxidize soot particles. The catalytic mechanism was investigated by using 18O2. In addition to YSZ powder, porous YSZ membranes were developed to simulate DPF porous walls and were tested in quasi real condi-tions.
