Identification and modeling of the anelastic solids
Abstract
This contribution to the Mechanic of Materials concerns the non-linear, anisotropic and dissipative phenomena. Elastic anisotropy is measured, and analyzed, on various materials ; some of them are in a powder form. In the field of damage mechanics, two models for quasi-brittle materials are presented. First model constitutes a micro-mechanical approach of a network of rough sliding cracks. The second is macroscopic and introduces a non convex free energy, that allow to describe post-pic behavior of quasi brittle materials. A model and an experimental device are relevant of the yield surface distortion phenomenon in plasticity. A new testing device for the measurement of wood and composite anisotropic viscoelasticity is presented. A numerical integration software has been developed in order to allow the researcher to quickly visualize, in different tensorial basis, the response of an internal variable model.
