DESIGN SILICONE MOLDS FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC MICROCOMPONENTS
Abstract
This paper deals with the problematic of manufacturing moulds for casting ceramic microcomponents using the gel casting process. Models of the ceramic parts to be obtained were produced by additive manufacturing (AM), using stereolithography and the Perfactory processes, and different silicone moulds were manufactured to achieve the best demoulding conditions for the gel casting process. Different samples geometries were designed to assess the difficulties and limitations of the different stages of all manufacturing process.
