Abstract
Le remplissage rapide de réservoirs d'hydrogène à haute pression (700 bars) conduit à des contraintes thermomécaniques au sein de la structure. Des essais de traction quasistatique et de fatigue ont été réalisés sur différentes séquences d'empilement de multicouches polymère/composite ([A<sub>3</sub>B<sub>2</sub>]s, (A<sub>2</sub>B<sub>2</sub>A]s et [ABABA]s) ne différant que par l'épaisseur des couches constitutives. En fatigue, trois types d'essais ont été réalisés : essai de fatigue mécanique à 1 Hz, essai de fatigue mécanique avec maintien en charge (9 min par cycle) et essai de fatigue thermomécanique avec maintien. Un suivi de l'endommagement par émission acoustique ainsi que des observations microscopiques ont été effectués au cours des essais. Les résultats montrent un effet important de la séquence d'empilement, quel que soit le type d'essai : la présence de couches épaisses accélère la rupture du composite. Cet effet s'explique par un amorçage plus précoce ainsi qu'une croissance plus rapide des endommagements. De plus, les résultats en fatigue mettent en évidence l'influence de la durée du cycle et du couplage avec la température : la fatigue thermomécanique est plus néfaste que la fatigue mécanique avec maintien, qui est elle-même plus néfaste que la fatigue mécanique à 1 Hz.
