Abstract
Since the begining of perovskite photovoltaics, where the perovskite material was used as a sensitizer in 2009, metal-halide perovskites has caught the attention of the scientific community to such a degree that it is the photovoltaic technology with the highest growth of power conversion efficiency in the history of photovoltaics. In this work, written in spanish, an international and national (Mexico) context is given, the perovskite literature (at the moment of writing this thesis) was reviewed as well as the principal theoretical concepts of first principle calculations based on Density Functional Theory. At the last part of the document, the case of study was the all-inorganic perovskite CsSnI_{3-x}Br_{x}, where their structural, energetic and electronic properties were studied.
