The Materials Map is an open tool for improving networking and interdisciplinary exchange within materials research. It enables cross-database search for cooperation and network partners and discovering of the research landscape.

The dashboard provides detailed information about the selected scientist, e.g. publications. The dashboard can be filtered and shows the relationship to co-authors in different diagrams. In addition, a link is provided to find contact information.

Materials Map under construction

The Materials Map is still under development. In its current state, it is only based on one single data source and, thus, incomplete and contains duplicates. We are working on incorporating new open data sources like ORCID to improve the quality and the timeliness of our data. We will update Materials Map as soon as possible and kindly ask for your patience.

Abstract

<!--!introduction!--><b></b><p>The GFZ VLBI working group develops, maintains and supports the VLBI dataanalysis software "PORT", the Potsdam Open Source Radio Interferometry Tool. PORT development commenced in August 2018 with the initial import of theexisting code base into a "Git" version-controlled software repository.Following its antecedent software packages "VieVs" and "VieVS@GFZ", PORT isfocused on the timely processing of VLBI sessions, as well as post-processingactivities supporting the generation of celestial and terrestrial referenceframes; notably, GFZ contributed to the most recent ITRF realization, theITRF2020. Furthermore, PORT provides a framework for research and developmentprojects and is part of the educational tool set used in training and promotionof young researchers. Within its activities as an IVS analysis centre, GFZemploys PORT to estimate Earth orientation parameters, radio source, VLBIstation positions, and tropospheric parameters using standard least squaresadjustment and, in future, Kalman filter techniques. A refined graphicalinterface allows the user to manually insert clock breaks and to flag outlierdata points. Weighting of group/phase delays, amplitudes and positionconstraints can be applied to stations, radio sources and baselines on anindividual basis. Results are displayed on screen, written to disk for laterusage (e.g. as input to global solutions) and the corresponding normal equationsare stored in PORT-specific and SINEX data formats. Current PORT developmentactivities focus on both, consolidation of the legacy code base and revision ofits design, code structure and implementation in order to improve robustness,modularity, readability, maintainability and facilitate innovation.</p>
