Synthesis, Structure and Properties of Iron-Yttrium Garnets Joint Replacement with Aluminium and Manganese
Abstract
A series of powders of complex garnets, corresponding to the composition Y<sub>3</sub>Fe<sub>4.40–x</sub>Al<sub>0.60</sub>Mn<sub>x</sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Y<sub>3</sub>Fe<sub>4.35–x</sub>Al<sub>0.65</sub>Mn<sub>x</sub>O<sub>12</sub>, Y<sub>3</sub>Fe<sub>4.30–x</sub>Al<sub>0.70</sub>Mn<sub>x</sub>O<sub>12</sub> (х = 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) and Y<sub>3</sub>Fe<sub>5</sub>O<sub>12</sub> were synthesіzed by the method of successive precipitation from<br> aqueous solutions. The temperature regimes of formation of single-phase garnets and sintering of ceramics, the influence of x on the structure of the material, magnetic properties, and microwave characteristics have been established.
