Optimization of the compositions area of radiotransparent ceramic in the SrO-Al$_2$O$_$3-SiO$_2$ system
Abstract
This work presents the results of optimization of the compositions area of radiotransparent ceramic. Theoretical calculation of free Gibbsenergy proves the possibility of the formation of strontium anorthite phase for every composition of Sheffe plan. As a result of laboratory samplestest, graphic dependences “composition – property” was obtained, the choice of the most technologically advanced composition area and sinteringtemperature for manufacturing the radiotransparent ceramic was substantiated. The optimal composition of the Sr-anorthite ceramics ischaracterized by the next level of properties: water absorption (W = 0.17 %), dielectric permittivity (ε = 5.15), mechanical strength(σcompression = 176 MPa).
