Materials Map under construction

The Materials Map is still under development. In its current state, it is only based on one single data source and, thus, incomplete and contains duplicates. We are working on incorporating new open data sources like ORCID to improve the quality and the timeliness of our data. We will update Materials Map as soon as possible and kindly ask for your patience.

Abstract

Polymer substrates which are covered with a thin layer of graphene nanoplatelets or carbon nanotubes have abig potential for modern engineering, especially in organic electronics. The main advantage of those materialsis transparency in the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. This property creates a possibility of usingthese materials to produce electrodes in flexible screens and light sources. It is necessary to know the transmission characteristics of these materials to assess their usefulness in optoelectronics. In the article authors present the results of the conducted research on the transmittance characteristicsof different samples. The samples contained different deposited substances. They had various diameters of thegraphene nanoplatelets, one group contained carbon nanotubes. Samples had 50 or 100 layers. The authorsexamine the infuence of these parameters on ink transmittance and ink transmittance uniformity. These analysis are a base for future research on flexible carbon electrodes, especially for applying them inproduction of flexible organic displays and light sources.
