Review of the accuracy and precision of mm-wave antenna simulations and measurements
Abstract
Accuracy and precision are important metrics that<br/>can be used to validate the quality of the antenna simulation<br/>model and antenna measurement with respect to the design<br/>criteria of the antenna. Both metrics were applied to identify the<br/>influences that caused inaccurate and tolerant results of both<br/>simulations and measurements which have been done in the past.<br/>Identified influences for simulations are the input parameters<br/>like the permittivity and loss tangent, but also the simulation<br/>conditions like the port definition. For the measurement these<br/>influences are mainly determined by the interconnections, motor<br/>backlash and test environment.
