Optimization of machining parameters of electrical discharge machining tool steel 1.2713
Abstract
In this paper, the influence of the input EDM parameters on the surface quality of tool steel 1.2713 has been modelledand optimised.Experimentalstudies wereconductedwith a designexperiments(DOE)techniques.Basedon the result of experimentalinvestigation influence of EDM parameter:discharge current, time discharge and timeinterval ontheroughness Raandmaterialremovalrate wereestablishedusingresponsesurfacemethodology.Consideringthe properties of the EDM for the roughness Rain the range between 1-2 μm with the maximum possiblevalue of the MRRprocess optimizationwas conducted based on desirability technique.
