RAFT solution copolymerization of styrene and 1,3-butadiene and its application as a tool for block copolymer preparation
Abstract
<jats:p>For the first time, random copolymers of styrene (St) and 1,3-butadiene (Bd) (poly(St<jats:sub>n</jats:sub>-<jats:italic>r</jats:italic>-Bd<jats:sub>m</jats:sub>), styrene butadiene rubber, SBR) were prepared <jats:italic>via</jats:italic> solution RAFT polymerization, that was further extended to produce poly[X<jats:sub>n</jats:sub>-<jats:italic>b</jats:italic>-(St<jats:sub>m</jats:sub>-<jats:italic>r</jats:italic>-Bd<jats:sub>k</jats:sub>)] block copolymers.</jats:p>
