Abstract
<p>Novel nanocomposite proton-exchange membranes based on sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) and functionalized tantalum disulfide (S-TaS<sub>2</sub>) overcome the dichotomy of the properties of SPEEK membranes for direct methanol fuel cells.</p>
