Sintering of inkjet printed silver tracks with boiling salt water
Abstract
This paper demonstrates a simple two-step method tosinter inkjet printed silver tracks with boiling saltwater. As the temperature during the sintering processstays at 110 degrees Celsius, the method is compatiblewith most polymer substrates. UV light is used to enhanceadhesion between the printed silver layer and thesubstrate film to prevent delamination of silver tracksduring salt water treatment. After 20 min immersion inboiling salt water, the printed silver lines exhibitelectrical resistivity only two times higher than thebulk silver value as measured using a four wireresistance meter
