Dispersion and Stabilization of Alkylated 2D MXene in Nonpolar Solvents and Their Pseudocapacitive Behavior
Abstract
<p>Carey et al. report the surface-modified organophilic Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T<sub>z</sub> MXene, which forms stable suspensions in nonpolar solvents. This method is used to prepare polyethylene nanocomposites, where the ready dispersion of DHT-MXene results in enhanced mechanical properties. In addition, films made from these DHT-MXene suspensions can be used as electrodes that exhibit pseudocapacitive behavior.</p>
