Synthesis and characterisation of heterobimetallic lanthanoid O-based cluster/cages
Abstract
We report the syntheses of new mono- and bimetallic lanthanoid compounds. The metal ratio of tetra- and penta-nuclear clusters are determined by Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). The results show, for an equal proportion of lanthanide salts introduced, different metal ratios are achieved for the clusters. This ratio appears to be dependent on the size and electronic density of the metals. Studies realized the best conditions to achieve a 1:1 metal ratio.
