Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) based optical fiber humidity sensor
Abstract
An optical fiber humidity sensor employing reduced graphene oxide (RGO) doped sol-gel microstructured thin film as the sensing fiber cladding and evanescent wave absorption is reported. Main objective of the present work is to achieve a linear sensor response with enhanced sensitivity over the wide dynamic range using simplest possible sensor geometry. Only 0.1g RGO doping in the sensing film resulted in the three fold sensitivity enhancement.
