The influence of the thermomagnetic heat treatment on magnetoelastic properties of Fe40Ni38Mo4B18 alloy in amorphous state
Abstract
The paper presents results of magnetoelastic investigation carried out on Fe40Ni38Mo4B18 alloy in as quenched and annealed state. Special nonmagnetic backings were used in order to obtain the uniform stresses in the core and enable sample to be winded. The changes of the magnetic characteristics, as a function of the compressive stresses, for both samples are presented. Results confirmed that the thermo-magnetic improvement of the magnetic properties of Fe40Ni38Mo4B18 amorphous alloy induces significant changes of its magnetoelastic characteristics.
